A young and colorful Día de los Muertos boy, ready for a date with his best girl!
I enjoy doing companions to some of my pieces for many reasons. I try to imbue my Day of the Dead figures with uniqueness and personality, so crafting a companion is a continuation of each narrative. It’s a fun and interesting exercise that further fleshes out the lives and personalities of these (mostly imaginary) people. I like the process of creating another character that compliments and contrasts the original person through their dress, designs, colors, and motifs.
