I don’t really know what’s going on with this one, so don’t ask.
The idea was simply a mysteriously alluring woman reading a bible. I wanted the image to have a soft, warm feel to it, so I enhanced the original drawing in Photoshop to attain that look. From this point on, Photoshop would play a heavier part in the completion of my illustrations, for what I think is the better. I had always used it minimally to touch up scans and such, but with this image I used it to create the background, the overall color tone, and the shining highlights. I really like how the cross on the bible shines.
