An editorial piece done for a second illustration class in college, I think this stands out as one of my best pieces from a conceptual standpoint, although I have worries that this exact concept has been done sometime by someone else. It’s just too easy!

I think the cross is a powerful image and provides an effective focal point for the picture because of its placement and color (the only warm colors in an overall “cool” image). It further drives home the concept of the illustration – the shark being a symbol for the evil the KKK represents (whenever a shark loses a tooth, it always grows one back throughout its entire life).
