“Electric”

This was a promotional piece that was inspired by a Popular Science article about coma patients being woken up by electrical shocks to their brains. The actual procedure involved electrodes implanted deep into the brain that delivered pulses over the course of years, so my interpretation is admittedly much more dramatic.
I wanted the image to have a soft, ethereal, almost spiritual quality, but I think that only partly came through on the final version. Still, it is as lively and energetic as I intended, so I think it is a very successful image.
